Wonder into the Exquisite Mists in the Hills

Locating in the Hill Country, Nuwara Eliya is known as the little England due to its temperate climate which is further complemented by the colonial appearance of the town. This city is worth a visit in April to May in its perfect season when all the gardens and roads are covered in newly blossomed verity of flowers. The air is filled with fresh fragrance of pine leaves, roses and fresh grass, making the town an earthly paradise.

Victoria Park
With a garden filled with verity of exotic plants and trees, with a separate kids’ park, Victoria Park one of the most attracted leisurely places in Nuwara Eliya region with the the Tudor-style Nuwara Eliya post office, built in 1894, is across the street.
Gregory Lake
As the center of action in Nuwara Eliya, Gregory Lake is the ideal place for a visit for all alike. With restaurants with delicious food, safety guaranteed kids’ play area, and mainly boat rides around the lake, kayaks, jet skis and pedalos.
Mount Pedro
Also known as Mount Pedro, Piduruthalagala is the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. With the permission easily got from the Sri Lankan army, with the clear view of Adam’s Peak, Moon Plain, Horton plains and the surrounding of Nuwara Eliya.
Ambewela Farm
Locating in high up the hills, in the middle of travel to Horton Plains, Ambewela is also among the most attracted places in Nuwara Eliya for its scenic greenery farm, with cows and calves scattered all around. You can experience the delight of feeding them while you wonder in the green plain
Moon Plains
Known as the little England in Sri Lanka, with an atmosphere of Europe, Moon Plains is a one hour trip of Jeep Safari, one Jeep able to take 6 people. Located in the peaks of central Highlands, this plain is breathtakingly beautiful with vast slopes.
St Clair’s Falls
In between Nuwara Eliya and Thalawakele, in middle of a tea estate St. Clair’s fall flow beautifully attracting many tourists from all around the worlds. This waterfall is visible from the main road as well as from the train line.
