Go on a Hike to Horton Plains
Horton plains National Park as the core part of Nuwara Eliya, is a good mix of high rocky climbs and vast spaces of flat terrains on the way to World’s End. Begin your journey before the sunrise and witness the spectacular far view from the plateau over a steep and about 900m high cliff.

Rising to the elevation of 5600 feet the Hakgala garden was established in the year 1860.

This is the third highest peak in Sri Lanka and a unique mountain forest ecosystem of Horton plains. It is stated that this was landing place of King Rawana when returning from India.
This park is named after Queen Victoria’s 60th jubilee coronation and established in 1897. This consists of 27 acres with beautiful flora and fauna.
Kande Ella is a forest reserve bordering the Kande Ella Tank which is about 12 km from Nuwara Eliya on the Nuwara Eliya Pattipola road.
Situated 6890 feet above sea level and Single Tree is the best vantage point to observe the beauty of Nuwara eliya.
Lovers leap is known for romantic folklore. Legend has it that the lovers have leapt to their deaths from this water fall.
One of the most fashionable venues in 1950s. 1868 meters above sea level. Most notable event is the Governor’s cup.
Strawberry farms can be reached via Hakgala, Ambewela road. Freshly picked strawberries are available.
